“El sector de la aviación está dando grandes pasos hacia la descarbonización de su actividad: no resulta sencillo al no existir aún un combustible que sustituya a los convencionales, pero las aerolíneas estamos invirtiendo en nuevos aviones como el A350 de Iberia, que consumen alrededor de un 25% menos, y también mejorando las operativas de vuelo para reducir el consumo de combustible de una manera significativa”, ha comentado en hashtag#COP25 Teresa Parejo, directora de Sostenibilidad y RSC de Iberia, que modera el panel sobre del sector aviación y cambio climático en el que participan AENA, IATA, WTTC ( World Travel & Tourism Council) y ALA
“The aviation sector is taking big steps towards decarbonizing its activity. It is not a simple task as there is not yet a substitutive fuel to the conventional ones. At any rate, airlines are investing in new planes, such as the A350 Iberia and others are using, that consume around 25% less fuel, or improving their flight operations, in order to significantly reduce their fuel consumption”.
